Don’t disturb National Pacification.

By: Ahmed ElNAHAS – Pisa, May 15th 2013.
It seems to me that centuries have scrolled away since we were young and enjoying our recreation moments playing  “Cowboys and Indians” or “Guards and Thieves”.. Or later on, at the time of our innocent adolescence’s identity search, we swung between right and left.. It was great fun.. Serious and productive fun, and positively consumed throughout the only true wonderful period of our existence.. An existence void from the slightest doubt that we were all sharing, as equal citizens, the same nation; without barriers of colour or faith.. An existence filled with our devotion for our nation and our high hopes for the future.. Our common future.
Then life made some of its unpredictable turns; after which and at the very moment when finally we thought that speaking loud our minds and expressing publicly our thoughts is no longer considered as an Orwellian “Thought Crime”; we (the independent intellectuals, the naïve bloggers, the web reporters, the simple users and frequenters of the Social network) discovered that once more that cultural paradox is still present and is forcing us to question our behaviour and ideological attitudes, making us wonder whether or not we are the “Disseminators of Divisionism” or “Seeders of Hatred” who must beg forgiveness for having  gravely sabotaged every effort our new patrons are undertaking to achieve “National Pacification”.
Today we see citizens who are arrested and tortured just because they are practicing their basic civil right of Free Expression and Freedom of Speech.. The vital air and water for any healthy and sound “Participative Democracy”.. The most fundamental civil tool for the transparent flow of information indispensable for the collectivity in its stand against any form of corruption whose only protector is to conceal the truth and obstruct the stream of information, aka Censorship.
Until now nothing has been done or said in order to elaborate any kind of Anti-Corruption measures, not to mention laws or decrees.. Nothing is done, or even seem to be in the making, regarding the suicidal spreading of illegal practices as Tax Evasion and Capitals Transferring.. Not a single word could be heard about solving the crippling ill named Conflict of Interest which is corroding our economy.. Not even the shadow of a hint to guarantee the Separation and Autonomy of Institutional Powers.
And the very few honest citizens who still insist on tracking and denouncing similar institutional offenses, in their efforts for establishing better awareness among the electorate, are officially considered responsible for Disseminating Divisionism, Seeding Hatred and are the hired Saboteurs of National Pacification and as such must be tried and punished!!
Can someone explain to me what on earth could be the practical meaning of a term like National Pacification? Because what I know, and am sure of, is that in a Democracy the friction of opposing ideas generate not only progress, but as well is the thrust thriving ahead National Evolution. And to better understand our Executive Authority’s official interpretation of the term, let me simplify by giving some examples, which I hope would help us realise the burden of such a challenge.
Imagine that you’re sitting peacefully in your car on halt at the street red light awaiting the green to go, suddenly you see coming behind you fast that man in his SUV with a bottle of Whiskey in one hand and a mobile phone in the other, and before you even think he hardly crashes his car’s nose into your car’s trunk; well after counting till ten before getting out from the ruins of your dead car, you should not even dream of calling the police or doing anything related to shouting or cursing (however he’s apparently soaking drunk and will not receive your verbal or physical messages), just go towards him in an open arms friendly approach to ask if he is alright, bidding his pardon for the inopportune presence of your car in the path of his SUV; maybe even you can pay him the damage your demolished car have just caused to his front bumper; thus escaping the slightest doubt of being a Seeder of Hatred or a Disseminator of Divisionism.
And if you are serenely liberating your urgent physical hydraulic needs in a public toilet and for no reason some vandal would start urinating on you, don’t do other than abandoning useless hatred or divisionism temptations, let him finish his mission and congratulate him for his admirable aim.
Or if while walking hand in hand in the street, a thief mugs your wife’s purse; don’t even try to run after him to recuperate the ill-gotten, it would be an unequivocal symptom of hate; but rather you should contribute in the National Pacification possibly by giving him, as he runs away, your credit card number and its pin code.
Even if you’re an attractive young lady in a bus or a train, and in the crowd some pervert would squeeze on your space and sexually harass you. Escape any intentional gestures of insulting or divisional nature, like slapping and shouting or calling for help; just thank him cordially for his kind and thoughtful courting.. You can even invite him for dinner.
Only as such the civil war between the ‘fondlers’ and the ‘fondled’ would come to an end, and the restless pursuit for ‘thieves’ by ‘guards’ would finally cease.. Only then some can still evade the taxes and the rest will continue to pay for them gladly.. And in the end we all can live forever after happily together united in love and in a permanent state of National Pacification.
However, if we don’t accept that with a smile, and continue to seek the truth, speak it up and ask for the Chrystal clear transparency to establish our long hoped Democracy, there are always a multitude of variable means to bring us back in line.
Pass On The Word.
