The dawn must come.

The dawn must come.

Politicians.. enough.

The indecent and irresponsible show which most of you are performing, is no longer tolerable by the largest portion of the citizens from every political alignment.
Your acting attentively and solely for your private or your political party’s interests, small or grand they may be, ignoring the sovereign interests of the country, is bringing it towards disaster and is causing an irrecoverable damage to its credibility.
Realise that the larger part of the population doesn’t favour trust or respect any longer for many of you, and that they don’t have the minimum intention to grant a political class similar as you, save very few exceptions, the opportunity to represent them and express their hopes and needs that such a class, or should I say caste, have deserted and withdrawn far away from its horizons.
The actual crisis that is dangerously demolishing the world economy, our country included, demands seriousness, competence, credibility, sense of state and love for own country as essential prerequisites enabling a fairly safe exit out of that delicate and preoccupying moment. However it is quite evident that the largest part of this caste doesn’t possess these characteristics. On the contrary it was structured on purpose, several decades ago, of unprepared and incompetent elements without any perception whatsoever of the country’s problems, or of the gravity of the moment; over and above their flagrant lack of a worldly vision to observe and consider the possible future scenarios awaiting us.
As well, part of the economic environment, the one that doesn’t live by true market values and honest competition rules, have earned itself the major responsibility of the situation we’ve been driven into. Because, in fact, for too long it developed strong ties with that political caste, based upon opportunities and momentum conveniences, sustaining it in many ways, even becoming part of it if not being ‘it’, though never refraining it to the sense of duty for the good interest of the country.
Now the gravity of the situation calls upon all components of the society to unite and explore together , in the most responsible, serious and competent manner, the possible ways out of that critical situation for the benefit of all. To give a practical positive prospects to the future of our younger generations, to create and protect job opportunities and to guarantee to all citizens a dignified way of life, especially to those mostly in need.
The above is not my address to the Egyptian Political Class, it is  the most sincere translation I am able provide for an open letter published yesterday, Saturday October 1st 2011, on a full paid page on all Italian national newspapers, written and signed by Mr. Diego DELLA VALLE the well known industrial figure: president of TODD’s, owner of the football club FIORENTINA, brilliant member of the Italian Industrials Confederation, and many more local and international economic and financial roles he, and his family before him, represents and administers for over four generations in these parts; and most important with no political ambitions.
I believe it suits very well our situation in Egypt. So, if you wish, you may publish it and pass it on your twits and blogs, though please honouring the signature of Mr. DELLA VALLE, and my translation.
