A Media For All Seasons.

There is a bit of doubt, irritating as much as being hypocrite, in the way the so-called “Free Independent Press” is handling ‘NOW’ the scandals of corruption! The same Newspapers and TV headings who for decades have been tuning songs and rhyming poems painting the valid virtues of a “Democratic First Republic” which enjoy a healthy political life by a multitude of parties, while knowing that it is nothing else other than the continuous repetition of a blunt and ferocious Dictatorship pending on a single authority and void of true Parties of any kind or the least active political representation for the ‘Other’.

We should denounce and never tolerate or accept such shameful  practices if we are truly aiming for:

a)      reaching the true Democracy via a transparent information flow guaranteed by a truly free independent press,

b)      feeling protected by a totally respected law son of a binding permanent constitution, guaranteeing the supremacy and independence of the Authorities: Legislative, Juridical and Executive, and

c)      the certainty that all of us are equal before the law.    

We should denounce and never tolerate or accept such shameful  practices because:

Ø  Denouncing now what was being consumed and committed for decades before the blind eyes and deaf ears of ‘ALL’ those who today are crying out for the scandal, is simply insulting.. Because the very few who dared speak up at the time, were tagged with labels such as executer, handcuffer, anti-politician, politically apathetic, regressionist and even ignorant!!

Ø  The flagrant disproportion between the space reserved for the “Chicken Thief” type criminals, and that space rarely offered for the fattening professionals filling in their bellies with our money and drying out the vaults of our treasuries (big industries, high finance, telephone companies, private clinic owners, various cartels in energy, water supply, waste, concessions, asphalt, cement, iron/steel, private health using public money, meddlers, bureaucrats) those who have been systematically infiltrated in the newspapers and TV ownership businesses.. Figures who, whether you’ll like it or not, have auto-granted their real activities an irrevocable ‘MEDIATIC IMMUNITY’.

I call on all of you to be careful and aware, because we’ve been majestically clever in committing one time after the other the same mistake: to seek resolving our problems by entrusting the task to who created them in the first place.. Or, even worse, to who is the problem itself!
