Liberalising Drugs or Apartheid! Make your choice.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, February 25th 2013.
While observing the unrests in Egypt, provoked by the growing confrontations between the Muslim Brotherhood shouldered by their allies and supporters in one part, and the Secular Élite and its supporters on the other; we should be consciously aware that this conflict is not a conflict between “believers” and “non believers”; it should be recognised as a confrontation about “National Identity”.
If you wish to win a drug war, legalise and liberalise its use!! Same treatment can be prescribed for a developing state suffering from chronic influence of religion over education, government and politics; in order to heal and recover as a Secular State able and capable of modernisation.
Of course by now you must have known that the adjective ‘Secular’ does not mean ‘Infidel’ or ‘Non Believer’ worthy of “death by hanging, decapitating or rape”, but rather it refers to an individual who refuses the total hegemony of religious ideas, religious clerics and religious institution over the destinies of the population by orienting and dictating the state’s politics and policies converting its governance into an ‘Authoritarian Religious Fascist Rule’.
Therefore I’d say that if we really are aiming for a “Modern Liberal Civil Rule”, we must start from where the others have begun..
A] In France:
Back in 1905 the French Parliament passed the “Separation Act” recognising freedom of religion by stating: “The republic ensures freedom of conscience. It guarantees the free exercise of religions with the sole restrictions decreed hereafter in the interest of public order.” And it also declares “The Republic does not
recognise, fund or subsidise any religion. […]State, departmental and commune budgets, together with all expenses relating to the exercise of religions will be abolished.”
The neutrality principle accompanied with the elimination of state budget for the exercise of religions was detrimental to the Catholic Church, because forty-two thousand priests were no longer salaried by the state. Also the law changed the existent hierarchical organisation of religious associations. Religious groups were no longer recognized as cults, but cults as “private associations to which the state would now transfer the stewardship of church properties and incomes.”  All religious buildings built by 1905 were accepted as property of state and their maintenance was carried out by the state.
Thus the principle of laicité, which would become a constitutional principle in 1946; was a product of a legal and political process that was shaped by conflict between clericals and Republicans. From that time laicité was recognized by a great majority of the society as a unifying principle securing national unity and solidarity by dismissing religious sectarian movements.
B] In Turkey:
In 1908 the Young Turks, a reformist state élite, aimed to replace Islamic institutions with westernised ones. They defended a limited role for religion. According to them, the main obstacles to modernisation were the sultanate and Islamic institutions – two pillars of the ancient regime. What they wanted to accomplish was to limit the influence of religion over education, government and politics.
Mustafa Kemal (Atatürk), who was a well-known member of İttihat ve Terakki, organised resistance groups in Anatolia and took lead of the War of Independence, after which he established Republic and launched a modernization project. His ideas were characterised by anti-clericalism, rationalism, intellectual elitism and nationalism.
The principle of the separation between state and religions became gradually more effective within legal structures since the end of the War of Independence. In 1922 the Sultanate was abolished. In 1923, the Republic was founded. This was soon followed by the abolishment of the caliphate and the establishment of Ministry of Religious Affairs in 1924 and the prohibition of religious orders in 1925. In 1928, the article that deemed Islam the official state religion was annulled, yet until the 1937 amendments for ‘Secularism’ were not mentioned in the constitution. Aside from the reforms related to state organization, many reforms were introduced in order to secularize social and cultural life. The object of these reforms was to limit the influence and visibility of religion within the public sphere and make religion a personal affair.
The exclusion of religion was seen as a necessity for the establishment of a new nation. In the public realm people needed to exist only as citizens sharing a common bond and having equal rights. Any sign that showed any attachment toward a community outside the nation was believed to threaten the national unity.
The formation of a national identity was problematic, since there was no clear definition of “Turk”. The Ottoman legacy remained influential on the formation of national identity. In the Ottoman period, subjects were defined according to their religious affiliation. This system was called the millet system. “Turk” in this system did not refer to any ethnic category but referred to Muslim subjects of the Empire. After the establishment of Republic, Kemalist elites tried to formulate a new Turkish national identity devoid of any religious content.
The principle of Secularism means separation between state and religion, yet the state continues to control the religion. The principle refers at the same time to both an exclusion of religious symbols within the public sphere and control over religion by the state. This could be seen in state policies on education and the formation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs that was tied to the Office of the Prime Minister and was
responsible for the administration of mosques and appointments of all Muslim clerics. As a result, Muslim clerics became paid employees of the state and were subject to its scrutiny. The main motivation behind this institution was the desire to control religion and the clergy.
C] Conclusion
That was exactly the same political error committed by Egypt’s “Free Officers Movement” while executing their 1952 Coup d’Étât. Cancelling the independence of Al Azhar and establishing the Ministry of Al Awqaf rendering them all simple state employees, conspiring with the state to brainwash the people, not educating them on the real values of Islam.
The successive governments, formed by the Military institution, did nothing else but replacing a “Theocratic Religious Authority” with a “Political Religious Authority” whose objectives were never Modernisation, Development, Welfare and Growth; the end goal was, and still is, to capitalise the inexistent values of the ruling bodies. Meaning that we toppled a corrupt dictatorship to replace it by the Dark-Ages type “Fascist Religious Tyranny”.
·         Did we really want to have at the helm of Egypt’s rule a “Political Religious Authority”, supported and sustained internally by various types and categories of Religious Associations, Movements or Militias (more or less ignorant and violent); and externally by foreign Monarchies and other Arab States?
·         Did we willingly hand the reins of our nation to these politically incompetent and inexperienced group of individuals, who are doing everything in their power to convince the population, and the rest of world that the Egyptian National Identity could not be other than ‘Islamic Belief’?
·         By doing so aren’t they excluding many ethnic and cultural demographic groups from their fundamental rights for Egyptian Citizenship?
·         Is this not the very essence of ‘APARTHEID’?
If we shall not organise our ranks quickly to fight this fierce legal battle and adequately demand our “Civil National Identity”; then we shall remain entrapped in that medieval cultural regression, slowly turning into “Addict Mendicants for Freedom” and even worse we’ll remain for very long only useless “Economic, Political and Technological Beggars”!

Back to Fascism via Radical Extremism.

By: Ahmed M. ELNAHAS – Castelfiorentino, February 17th 2013.
I hope that you have noticed that giant socio-cultural tsunami threatening to sweep away our proper existence.. A tsunami that followed a worldwide earthquake named “Globalisation.. A Tsunami now known as: “Radicalism.
After too many wars and sufferings, mankind thought to have finally conquered that tribal culture which ruled human societies, founded upon the solid conservative belief in a “National Identity”, and as such have become the tribe’s worshiped ‘TOTEM’.. An ideology which represented for long the main motivator for aggression and war. Now that very same Totem is returning to claim its initial destructive role.
Extreme Radical thoughts have successfully dug its way back (through the trenches of poverty, ignorance, intolerance, and greed) to infiltrate into ALL human ideologies and cultures alike: Capitalism, Communism, Left, Right, Center, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and even among the simple pseudo-pagan Nomad tribes in Africa, Asia and Latin America.. But the problem is that the only one placed under huge magnifying glasses and powerful spot-lights is the “Islamic Radicalism”, which is prophesised as “Terrorism” and now became known as “IslamoFascism”!!
Today my concern is to analyse that cultural/political phenomenal term “IslamoFascism”! I took the liberty to call it phenomenal because it became a convenient “trendy” recurrence in conversational use behind the closed doors of international decision making laboratories, and by the same intensity as presented by the daily mumblings on newspapers, TV talk shows, receptions, bars and private saloons.
It became trendy since that day back in 2006 when, on board a transatlantic Aircraft Carrier G. W. Bush described his policies as a battle against “Islamic fascists... [who] will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom”. An irresponsible statement yet convenient and coherent to the soundly conservative Republican policies of the United States that the man represented.
Proponents and critics of the term “IslamoFascism” rallied in long debates and filled the radio and TV airings arguing and demonstrating their views.
While Christopher Hitchens argues that there are similarities communing ‘Historical Fascism’ and ‘IslamoFascism’ claiming that Both movements are based on a cult of murderous violence that exalts death and destruction and despises the life of the mind. Both are hostile to modernity (except when it comes to the pursuit of weapons), and both are bitterly nostalgic for past empires and lost glories. Both are obsessed with real and imagined "humiliations" and thirsty for revenge. Both are chronically infected with the toxin of anti-Jewish paranoia (interestingly, also, with its milder cousin, anti-Freemason paranoia). Both are inclined to leader worship and to the exclusive stress on the power of one great book. Both have a strong commitment to sexual repression, especially to the repression of any sexual deviance, and to its counterparts the subordination of the female and contempt for the feminine. Both despise art and literature as symptoms of degeneracy and decadence; both burn books and destroy museums and treasures”.
The cultural historian Richard Webster has argued that grouping many different political ideologies, terrorist and insurgent groups, governments, and religious sects into one single idea of “Islamofascism” may lead to an oversimplification of the phenomenon of terrorism.
Reza Aslan claims the term “falls flat” when describing groups like al-Qaeda, noting that they are anti-nationalist while Fascism is ultra-nationalist.
Commenting on the claimed incongruity between the “Muslim World” and “industrial state fascism”, US journalist Eric Margolis claims that ironically the most totalitarian Islamic regimes, “in fact, are America's allies”.
One of the world's leading authorities on fascism, Walter Laqueur, after reviewing this and related terms, concluded that “Islamic Fascism” and “Islamophobia” each in its way, are imprecise terms we could well do without but it is doubtful whether they can be removed from our political lexicon.
However, all that has no major relevance, since the phenomena has been present and physically practiced ever since the cult of the “Assassins (in Arabic Gama’at Al Hashashin); and today, contrary to the “Historic Fascism” based upon an idea (later on resulting absurd), it is visible as a new kind of “Bureaucratic Fascism” through the attitudes of those who were taught and trained, over long years of systematic brain washing, that “once in power you hold on to it by any mean and measure” (terror and violence included), and do whatever you wish by it.
Also the phenomena is observed in a sort of “Family Fascism”, that emanates starting upwards right from the municipality and its immediate circle of fathers, nominating sons and brothers, everywhere. To promote the dream of a static fixed world, in which neither earth nor the sun would move; but in which, and by which, it is urgent to drag out of it any opponent non participant, in order to cancel Democracy’s fundamental  right of being “Accountable For Own Actions”.
In such a territory two social behaviours will overlap.. The “Do It Yourself” anywhere: in classrooms or in the street, with the “Do It Yourself” with public money and public resources; in a world where arrogance coincide with force. But without any risk. The force to which aim this new-old young breed, is the force of a government completely deprived of any scruples; a government that would last for good authorising whomever wishes so of doing anything.. If one would adopt the condition of accepting everything.. A sad way for being young.
That is the alarming social trend I see happening in my beloved Egypt since the ages of “stability is the key to continuous and steady evolution and development”, the sacred motto of a Military Institution’s six decades of authoritarian reign.. A rule which allowed a constant and systematic brainwashing to younger generations thus creating totally possessed generations of blind devotees to that kind of State Fascism.
Now came the turn of the new comers from the Islamic circles, whom for long were eagerly aspiring to reign and finally have reached that target; for they have for long recruited, brainwashed and trained generations on blind and undisputed obedience.. That’s the real danger.. Not their being Muslims, since so far they have produced nothing but alarming signs whether inside the ruling halls or outside in the open on the streets; but because culturally, and politically, they are incapable of being Moderate; because their interpretation of moderation has nothing to do with our Prophet’s definition of the term some 14 centuries ago.
Some bright examples of State Fascism in the name of Islam are:
Ø  “Jamaat Al Amr Belma’rouf” in Saudi Arabia which for ages have been, and still is, oppressing individual free choices of citizens in times of prayers, controlling women in the markets and children in schools!
Ø  The “Taliban” movement which personifies the brightest example of State Fascism Oppression.. We’ve seen what they are capable of!
Ø  And of course “The Islamic Republic” of the early Ayatullahs rule in times of Khomeiny in Iran.. Some of their practices are still in force, especially in media, in school and university professorships, in service and ruling institutions and of course in Mosques!
There are many other similarities in the far east like those in Indonesia, in Philippines and in Thailand.. And I believe that the wide spreading of the phenomena is dangerously threatening the cultural development and economic growth of the ‘Silent Majority’ belonging to the “Moderate Muslim Laicism*”.
I therefore invite you all to have a close look with an attentive critical eye wherever you may live and then..
Pass On The Word.
*Laicism, Secularism: attitude in support of the independence, or autonomy, of the Civil State  from the Religious Institution’s interferences and impositions on political, civil and cultural levels. However Laicism and Secularism refer to two different possibilities of how to organize state policies toward religion. These concepts are, in a limited sense, similar to each other as they both include two elements: separation between state and religion (separation of political authority from religious authority) and freedom of religion. It is the visible appearance of religion that demarcates the difference between them. Secularism is usually described as more tolerant towards public visibility of religion; a secular state plays a passive role and allows religious symbols in the public domain. In laicism the state plays a more active role by excluding religious symbols from the public domain and thus confines religion to the private domain.

Libertà e Giustizia = Liberty and Justice ≠ Al Horreyah wal Adalah??!!

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, February 13th 2013.
“With lies and absolute denials of the painful reality in which previous governments have reduced the country: the economic recession, the unemployment, the lack of perspective for the younger generations, the de-schooling, the abandonment of the cultural and environmental heritage, the irresponsible revaluation of Fascist Dictatorship, the endemic corruption, the power of the organised crime; once more we find tendencies to deceive, to get round, to buy the voters consent…”
“The contempt and disregard towards the voters cannot be more evident: citizens devoid of memory and by major reason a critics capacity, would have to sell their right to chose a political class who will have to confront the most serious problems of the country in exchange of alms, and as well paid by their money. Because we know by now that to diminish a voice on the state’s balance there is no other than either increase others, or apply more cuts over Social Services”.
“…we feel now the duty to call upon all - in a particular mode the youth who became disappointed  and frustrated by a scenario that offers them very few possibilities for identification; who today have more pressing problems of no work and no money; those skeptics who for many times have exercised the vote never seeing a proper power management materializing worthy of a civilised state; the idealists who cultivate aspirations and objectives much higher than those who are agitating here and there before the elections – to the indispensible and binding necessity to neatly and definitely overcome this humiliating phase of our story… a phase testifying the dominion of ignorance, of corruption, of the private use of public fortunes, of disdaining the magistrature, and of the systematic lying to hide the proper incapacities to perform the role which the Constitution have entrusted to the governments: the role of guiding the national community and upgrade its proper level of civility”.
“….the vote is not a blind delegation in blank! And to exercise a close control over the political power the need is to remain active, informed and critical.. the need is that we citizens must learn to ask, to protest, to create ties, to make the proper voice heard. In the coming years, our country will have to make front to challenging and demanding problems: rebuild its mission in a globalised world, and to repair its social tissue freeing it from criminality and corruption. Such great exploits cannot be delegated, they require the total commitment of ALL first hand”.
The above passages are excerpts from a manifest of an Italian party namely “Libertà e Giustizia” (meaning Liberty and Justice), which by chance coincides with the name of our President’s political formation “Al Horreyah wal Adalah”.. A formation that not only is void of any political agenda, with no history whatsoever in active politics, but was hastily cooked in the kitchen of the Muslim Brotherhood just to meet the presidential elections inscription dead-line, and to surf over the revolution’s wave crest to reach the presidential palace and dominate the Executive and Legislative authorities in order to tame the Juridical one having already censored the ‘Free Press’ as the fourth authority. Meaning: they are not aiming for a “Free Democratic Civil State, cleared from corruption, secured, sovereign, laborious and aspiring for prosperity”.
Nevertheless, names and titles may coincide, but ideas and concepts are a completely different matter. While they are calling for UNITY to address the challenges; ours have already promoted, sponsored and decreed the division of our nation into sectarian and religious fractions thus inviting us (the people, the voters) to participate and witness in a long season of social distress, political turbulences, cultural deterioration, economic instability and financial dependence.
Would you tell which one is interpreting best his political formation’s name?
Pass On The Word.

Then is still Now!

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, February 10th 2013.

I decided to bring along some paragraphs from my previous articles posted on my blog over the past 18 months.. See for yourself and judge where we were then and where we are now??
Enjoy reading…

(I) August 3rd 2011. Where is our Nuremberg?

I have the right to be angry, and to express my anger as I see appropriate for the given circumstance which initially triggered my anger. As long as my manifestation does not breach God or man laws”.

Being angry for no reason or, even worse, for the wrong reason, as to substitute anger for frustration, for helplessness, or for despair; is the joy of even the inexperienced amateur manipulator, not to mention the skillful professional reactionary politicians and their lobbies who can and are using our youth’s anger to demolish the entire revolution.
Let me evaluate the situation as it is right now:
·         The Revolutionary Movements are being systematically weakened and sub-divided into powerless fractions ideologically and numerically through misleading mass control techniques. Just have a look at the various labels tagging their web-sites to realize the gravity of the damage. (I refer you to my post last week).
·         The Political Parties are being slowly driven towards frontal collisions over political crumbs, sectarian differences and ideological banners, thus shifting their aims from the main demand as claimed from day one by the people’s revolution which is simply: “the complete ‘Purification’ of the entire system in order to establish a whole new one structured to lead the way towards ‘Real’ Freedom and ‘Real’ Democracy”.
·         The Reactionary Forces (The Counter Revolutionary Lobbies) quickly overcame the initial shockwave of February 11th and reorganized their ranks to open a multiple fronts for the counter attack by using their followers still working in media, in municipalities, in governorates, in security forces, in intelligence agencies, on private TV screens and sympathising networks like the Saudi AL ARABEYAH. We have to realize that they are using every mean they have to orchestrate the music according to their tunes.
·         Foreign Intelligence Agencies operating in Egypt are not standing by watching the events, they are steering the wheel.
History’s teachings are the only lighthouse for those, like us, who are seeking salvation from the darkness of evil and the turbulent storms of life. Unless we would have our “Nuremberg”, the worse may yet be waiting round the corner on the next turn.

(II) February 16th 2012. A Country called Anarchy* and a Government named Chaos.
As things are going right now, I see Egypt driven straight downhill to fall into an inevitable dramatic chaos. The disorder that is manifested everyday, seem to be engineered and guided at distance by invisible, yet known, able hands. Are “they” leading us directly towards “Anarchy”?
The answer seems as a radiant YES..
“They” have already seeded fear, insecurity and mistrust among the various ethnic/religious sects of the population.
“They” would let Egypt slide into Anarchy in a way to trigger a long term exhausting conflict and drown the entire country in the moving sands of “Chaos”. The result would be to drain out Egypt’s remaining crumbs of resources, making of her an easy pray for economic speculators and financial adventurers.
“They” have a lot to lose if Egypt could stand up to acquire its post once again within the international community..
We know from past human experiences that every major political, social or economical change; is accompanied by, or immediately followed by, a phase of “chaotic disorder”. And it is always the length of such a phase that will determine the successive type of the “Stabilising Order”.

(III) March 24th 2012. The Missing Plug.
Little over a year ago, when the winds of change twisted over Egypt in what seemed to be an overpowering “Tornado” coming to sweep clean to the ground everything it faces; what really materialised was nothing more than a mild “Tropical Storm” which quickly passed on leaving behind almost everything completely intact.
Today it seems that the storm has even galvanised some old structures rendering them smoother, brighter, shiner and more solid than before; but mostly it made them more attractive than ever!?!
Over a year ago we thought that finally a radical change has come to last producing a new Republic founded upon a solid constitution guaranteeing and protecting the fundamental values of Freedom, Democracy, Labour, Transparency and Welfare.
For what really happened is that old faces changed their wardrobes and cosmetics, coming forward in brand new glowing disguises, gloving their “Iron Fist” in velvet and redecorating the torture rooms with slogans already voided of their contents before being nailed to the walls.
At first we were continuously faced by the respectable and humble figures of many exponents from the “Muslim Brotherhood” and the “Salafist” movements, all swearing to God that they have no intention, wish or ambition in politics and that they want to remain among the ranks of the people to serve and observe! In fact, due to free undemocratic elections following the old tailored laws, they became the crushing majority in Parliament and many of them changed views after several closed meetings with the “Field-Marshal”! Remember “Dr. El AWWA”?
Actually the agenda that we dreamed of, and the ‘Priority Tasks’ that we hoped to see accomplished were all just smoke on the water and ash in the eyes.. The “Order” is still alive and well.. And the recapitulation after fourteen months results in hundreds dead civilians, other thousands tortured behind bars, arbitrary arrests, corruption, agonising economy, a helpless nominated cabinet and a crippled parliament!!
I’m afraid that we will remain wandering for a long time searching for the plug that we missed and wondering what is it that we didn’t know?

(IV) April 4th 2012. A Bully’s Tact!
In Egypt we say: “Whip the tied to frighten the unleashed”.. The Americans translated it into “Shock and Awe” and have actually practiced it while invading Iraq. Now the second largely voted movement in Egypt, the Salafist oriented “Annour” party, is promoting the same.
I believe that this is precisely what is going on in the Egyptian cultural arena these days, and which constitutes the prelude to a devastating social seismic event that can, and will, provoke more divisions, more hatred, more superficiality, more indifference and more ignorance.
The Salafist movement is actually applying step by step the classic “Authoritarian Control Manual”:
Ø  to establish large consensus among the population through demagogic and ideological (religious) exaggerated rhetoric,
Ø  then chose some well known prominent figures to publicly accuse of high treason to the cause (blasphemy), and
Ø  mobilise the mass of followers for the public ‘Lynching’.
As such, the result will be either a overwhelming general sense of intimidation or an irrevocable fragmentation of the population that may lead to continuous confrontations and maybe even armed conflicts destabilising the nation and nourishing tribal, ethnic and sectarian versatilities and permanent vindictive grievances.
Remember that while The Military Dictatorship, that gave birth to the likes of Mubarak, hated the “TRUTH”; the coming  “Ideological Dictatorship” will eradicate it.
Is there someone seen on the horizon capable of rescuing an agonising revolution, and willing to embrace moderation to guide the nation into the democratic republic of transparency, human rights and social justice? A society that can remedy its aches on its own setting itself free from Corruption of hands and minds.

(V) September 15th 2012. Fanatic Tribalism!
In an intelligence memo written in January 1916, T. E. Lawrence (aka Lawrence of Arabia) described the Arab Revolt as “…beneficial to us, because it marches with our immediate aims, the break up of the Islamic 'bloc' and the defeat and disruption of the Ottoman Empire, and because the states [Sharif Hussein] would set up to succeed the Turks would be … harmless to ourselves … The Arabs are even less stable than the Turks. If properly handled they would remain in a state of political mosaic, a tissue of small jealous principalities incapable of cohesion.
To that very reason we lost Palestine, Jerusalem, Golan, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen, Libya, and now Syria which have been all driven into sectarian and religious futile conflicts that resulted in dismembering each into destructed poor and indebted fragments of pieces.. Not to mention the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf satellite states which embrace and enjoy an eternal orgasmic relation with the western powers and Israel on top!!
We were instructed, no.. We were ordered to change ourselves if we want change to come.. We were ordered to Prepare whatever we can to confront the enemy.. But if we can’t even unite as we do five times a day in prayer, then our chances to get out of our eight centuries long dark age are simply NONE.

(VI) October 1st 2012. Iqra’.
A Lot of terms that we come to take for granted and use in our daily conversations and communications, without questioning their real meaning and true impact on our evolutionary knowledge, seem to me contradictory and even oppose the original sense meant for their use.
Those who by definition should be labelled as ‘Alternative’ are referring the themselves as ‘Traditional’. That is precisely what I mean by the contradiction in the use and conception of terms.
Because now, as you may have noticed, some are using the term “SALAFI” to define the Traditional Islam and in my opinion that is wrong, because the known Islamic ‘Traditional’ Practice is the “SUNNA” of the Prophet (ppboh) and his “Four Wise Followers”, and which by the way represents the MODERATE CENTRAL TRADITIONS in Islamic Culture and its religious practices; while the term Salafi was originally introduced by a politically oriented and superficial media meddlers to define the most Orthodox interpretation of the doctrine, in a way that could easily be synonymic  to Integralist or Fundamentalist; thus in turn would automatically lead to the term “TERRORIST”, to be used at will by whomever wants to intimidate, threat or bargain.
No wonder that the first word descending upon Mohammad (ppboh) in that cavern during a Ramadan some 15 centuries ago was IQRA’! A term that embraces a vast multitude of words explaining the most adequate and best use of the highest gift God have granted to the Human species: The Brain. Terms like read, recite, think, meditate, observe, discuss, debate, analyse, experience, repeat, deduct, measure, exchange, decide, pronounce…etc. All such terms are the essence of the Scientific Methodology.
Muslim scholars from the dawn of Islam until the 13th century, knew that well, practiced it and mastered it. That’s why our nation glittered and led the way for human civilisation’s progress, growth and development.
But ever since we accepted to abdicate the throne of our brains and delegated its functions to ‘Imams’ and ‘Uly El Amr’ without questioning their abilities, motivations, knowledge, sense of justice, integrity and honesty; our destiny became signed and we sank back all the way to where we are now. We once were “Producers/Exporters” of knowledge, science and technology to the entire humanity.. Now we merely are consuming those of others.
Faith is an idea you believe in your mind, express with your words and practice with your deeds.. And you will be judged in the end alone in front of God based on that single and simple notion..
We’ll be judged according to the choices we took based on our own understandings, comprehensions and interpretations, not in view of what we were told or even ordered to do and not to do. And that’s precisely the meaning of “Maturing” and becoming “Adults”..
So let’s really handle our lives using the teachings of IQRA’! Not to rely only on the interpretations of X or Y! Maybe then we could have a second chance.

Now my friends, that you’ve made it and went through the entire article, can you tell to which direction our country’s compass is pointing right now?
Pass On The Word.
