Out of the Cocoon.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, April 10th 2013.
“…and then they would roll and wrap the ‘other’; penetrate his ranks and thoughts; so that very slowly they’d transform him into a clone of themselves; and finally they would completely absorb him by means of the complicated art of assimilation of which they were masters”.
This is not a passage quoted out from a science fiction novel; instead it is the description of the tactical practices, known as “Exhaust and Drain”, used to contain and convert an enemy, or an adversary, into an ally if not a loyal and possessed apostle.. A tactic that man has inspired from Nature by observing the Silkworm wrapping itself in a Cocoon inside which it shall hibernate for some time, and when it’ll come out it shall be another being: a Butterfly.
History demonstrates how such practices were exercised by man ever since his existence; and through the trials and errors of constant repetitions man was able to refine these practices and mold them to fit into every aspect of modern human activity:  economy, politics, culture, social governance, sport, administration, and recently even in business.
That is precisely the hazardous fate awaiting the once called “Arab Spring” especially in Egypt, where more than one force have been trying to power its way into the mass by following exactly the same recipe: the Brotherhood, the fragile opposition, the Islamic Radicals (Salafitee), the regressive counter revolutionary forces, the Military institution, the social movements (labour unions, artisans, students, farmers, merchants…etc), Foreign interests (CIA, MOSSAD, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey).
As a result of such tactical ‘battles’ (using just the same practices expressed here above) we found ourselves obliged to live the horrors of this absurd reality, whereas, after two years of the 2011’s January 25th revolts, one can observe the outcome: the complex multitude of Egyptian cultural, ethnic, social and political fronts have been overwhelmingly absorbed into two forces opposing each other in a struggle destined to enlarge and deviate its course to become the worst armed conflict Egypt has ever met:
a)      the Islamic Radical forces, who are casted, sponsored and financed by Saudi Arabia on one hand, and armed by Iran through Libya on the other hand; succeeded to assimilate the Brotherhood.. And consequently to condition the decisions of Political and Religious Institutions namely: the Presidency, the Parliament (limited for now only at the level of a Shoura Council), the Security forces, the Magistrate and Al Azhar.
b)      the rest of the Egyptian society components have strangely lined up together and almost became allies: the opposing political parties, the revolutionary forces, the labour unions, the regressive counter revolutionary forces, the bureaucratic lower middle class, the ex administrative and business upper middle class, the laic student movements, the secular scholars, the communists, the Nasserists, the moderates, the hired thugs…etc; all trying to join together their energies in order to confront a common threat: “the establishing of an Islamic Fascist Dictatorship”.
If in the first case the “Islamic Radical Forces” (the Salafists, by means of the muscles of their followers and the substantial financing of their sponsors) used these tactics to tame, contain and convert the Brotherhood into their clones and align it within its political conveniences guidelines.
In the second case it was the hired muscles and heavy finances of the so called “Regressive Counter Revolutionary Forces” that succeeded in exhausting and draining the remaining political and social components of the society, by wrapping them up, penetrating them, absorbing and converting them into silent background figures, just to render the scenery more attractive and to enhance the pressure over the inexperienced Majority. Only in this case the transformation phase didn’t take long.. Not because of the ability of the dominant but for the inapt preparation of the dominated.
And in the meantime the ‘Military Institution’, Egypt’s last bastion to protect its National Security, and who is closely tied to the Pentagon and CIA; remain on its own sitting patiently on the bench outside the lines waiting for the outcome of the eminent violent confrontations.
All that is happening while our Governing Bodies still insist on not ‘governing’.. They are acting like mendicants at the thresholds of Libya, Qatar and the “International Monetary fund” begging for any loan at any interest rate to postpone an inevitable clamorous declaration of their being “..unreliable to absorb and overcome the growing financial deficit”.. A gentle way to declare the country’s Bankruptcy.
Production and services activities like agriculture, pharmaceutical industries, commerce and tourism are diving nose down into a disastrous failure; unemployment is striking records (±53%); consumption is in continuous default (-32%); food supplies are shortening; oil, gas and water supplies are distributed by the dropper; most ‘Business Operation Capitals’ have already delocalised and soon most private businesses who are still operating in Egypt (medium and small enterprises) will not be able to honour their financial liabilities including bank loans interest instalments, wages and contributions; the ‘State’ itself is already long overdue in meeting its obligations towards all public works contractors. In short: Egyptian Economy is dangerously approaching a Halt.
Is all that a prelude to the “clear and eminent danger” of a long and bloody ‘Civil War’? It’ll be the joy of Israel and friends.. To finally see Egypt divided into many conflicting religious, sectarian or ethnic realities, each claiming autonomy; and all are desperately Poor.
Meaning that the 1970s plan for the Middle East as designed by Mr. H. Kissinger, and revised in 2005 by Ms. C. Rice for a “New Middle East”*; is strongly returning in vigor for implementation.. And we, for generations yet to come, will find ourselves obliged to foot the bill.

Why Egypt is Vulnerable.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, April 9th 2013.
History and Social Sciences, especially Anthropology, have for long demonstrated how a multi-ethnic multi-racial human society be identified as vulnerable.
When part of a given society become indifferent towards the sorts of one or more of the other parts, then we can safely confirm the vulnerability of this entire society.
Let’s give an example.. Back in 1967 and as a result of the six days war, when thousands of families lived in terror under heavy bombardments in the Suez Canal zone, Cairo and Alexandria citizens continued performing their daily routine from going to work to get drunk in night clubs and discothèques.. Convinced that all is well.. Even worse, when the Suez Canal population was forced to migrate to other parts of Egypt, they suffered from having to face the daily intolerance and greedy exploitation imposed upon them in every hosting village or city all over the Egyptian territory.
Same occurred to the Nubians after their ‘Diaspora’ after the building of a useless High Dam in Aswan.. Not to mention the Bedouin tribes of the western desert or the Sinai peninsula who for long decades were forced to live a systematic Apartheid.
Even the Egyptian Copts, the Armenians, the Greeks, the French and the Italian all Egyptian born citizens; couldn’t have had any chance to escape similar grievances of applied social injustice, which by constant recurrences became a norm.
Now the Egyptian society’s vulnerability is even more dangerous, and is slowly sliding the entire population down into a terrifying frontal conflict; and that is due to unmistakable signals:
Ø  A single party has overridden the revolution claiming his entitlement to define, decree and constitute ‘The Democracy’, while in fact it can’t even propose a valid economic plan.
Ø  In doing so, that single party and its politically inexperienced governing bodies did exclude the other components of the social tissue out of their calculations.
Ø  The fragmented opposition, into various invidious groups, movements, labour unions and parties proved to be reluctant to or incapable of taking any serious steps to unite in a solid front, or present a mutually agreed National Program.
Ø  The population itself is divided into ethnic, religious, cultural, economic and ideological segments, each deeply indifferent to the needs or sufferings of the others.
Ø  The black market assault arms and drug trafficking are souring sky high.
Ø  Criminality rates are alarmingly high and showing more rage, violence and cruelty.
All this is making of Egypt a well furnished and fully prepared theatre to host a bloody long Civil War.. Will the Brotherhood together with its supporting and sponsoring allies prevent that danger? Or will they continue nourishing it?
The coming weeks, if not days, will deliver the answer.

I’m sorry but I’m tired.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, April 8th 2013.
Fifty eight years ago, precisely on the 1st of December 1955, on a bus in the town of Montgomery (Alabama); Rosa PARKS refused to leave her seat to a white man and stood firm in dignity against social injustice, fought her battle facing head high all kinds of threats, and came out gloriously chin up.
What truly hit me about Ms. PARKS’s stand were the words she delivered to the law enforcement officers while arresting and hand-cuffing her, she simply said: “I’m sorry but I’m so tired.. Not of work but of all this”. Few words coming out straight from her heart to trigger a nation-wide mobilisation helmed by Martin Luther King’s historical “I Have A Dream”.
Her story isn’t my quest, you can easily discover every detail of it consulting any of the several thousand web sites dedicated to her by just digitising her name; my concern here is the outcome and the sense of her struggle. It’s not only about a simple citizen disputing in court and winning a case against the state.. It is about a system that functions.. About a sovereign ‘Legal Order’ operating under an autonomous ‘Juridical Authority’ pursuing ‘The’ justice not only ‘A’ justice, whereas “All are Equal and subordinate to the Law” is not just a slogan posted behind the Bench in the courts of law, but a dearly treasured principal protected by a sound Constitution, and respected by ALL components of the society.
Legality is the corner stone to which the foundations of a Free Democracy could be anchored.. Nothing else.
Now just because we allowed whomever to delude us into a multitude of complex ideological mazes, we missed one chance after the other to distinguish the one real solution of ALL our grievances, and do whatever could be necessary to uphold it. The solution is not religious, ideological, ethnic, cultural, sectarian, or even racist; the solution simply is “Legality”!
If we can achieve it and establish that sovereign ‘Legal Order’ operating under an autonomous ‘Juridical Authority’  to impose ‘The’ justice that is protected by a sound Constitution, and respected by ALL components of the society; then we shall have a better ‘State’ delivering better ‘Public Services’.. A better public education system practiced in better public schools.. A better public health care system practiced by better medical experts and provided inside better equipped and managed public hospitals.. A better Parliament.. A better public water supply.. A better public energy supply.. A better public infra-structure maintenance.
Only if we defeat corruption and honour legality, we will not anymore allow the blood-sucking International Financial and Credit Institutions to further condition our way of life by their “Structural Adjustments Programmes*” designed only to drive us closely towards dependence and farther away from independence.
Pass On The Word.
*In my article “SAPs forever” dated January 8th 2012 I said, and I quote:
Some of the “Standard” pre-conditions imposed by any Structural Adjustments Program can include:
Ø  Cutting expenditures, also known as Austerity. And that is mainly in the areas of education, health, agriculture, defense, scientific research;
Ø  Focusing economic output on direct export and resource extraction,
Ø  Devaluation of currencies,
Ø  Trade   liberalization, or lifting import and export restrictions,
Ø  Increasing the stability of investment (by supplementing foreign direct investment with the opening of domestic stock  markets),
Ø  Balancing budgets and  not overspending,
Ø  Removing price controls and state subsidies,
Ø  Privatization or divestiture of all or part of state-owned enterprises,
Ø  Enhancing the rights of foreign investors vis-a-vis national laws,
Ø  Improving governance and fighting corruption.
In practice these terms/conditions are the secret arm by which the unscrupulous major international financial institutions are handling our destinies.
Remember that word: “Privatisation”, the synonym of dismembering the State and depriving it from its major assets. Because it is going to be, among other new conditions, the corner stone of next week’s negotiations to force our esteemed “National Rescue Government” to tighten OUR waist-belts so that we stop thinking beyond securing tonight’s dinner, while they would carry on with their “All Is Well” and “Business as Usual”.

A Matter Of Moral Controversy.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Milano, April 7th 2013.
Ages ago when I was just a young child to a privileged family, I never gave much thought to the question of ‘class’.. I took for granted the ease of my family’s way of life, as well as the existence of many household helpers as a matter of fact.. I never questioned their whereabouts and how or where they lived.. I guess I thought they lived in houses similar to ours only maybe smaller or without a garden.. I believe that the majority of my contemporary peers did the same.. We never questioned the issues of rich and poor. Till we grew up.. In every sense of the term.
What could be the reason to explain the accelerated return of certain types of criminality, and more violently incisive into our lives; causing serious social terror and general disorder?
From the present growing clandestine assault arms trade down to the sexual harassment passing by the unprecedented violence of street bullies, breaking and entry even into inhabited residences with the purpose of robbery and if opposed to kill, car thefts, gang rape, kidnappings, crop burning and stock poisoning…etc. And I mentioned these only as samples portraying some rural and urban criminal characteristics, because the list is much longer and the numbers are very frightening.. Nevertheless the question is still: WHY?
Sure ‘poverty’ is a main part of the problem; maybe also the abused cliché of ‘social frustration’ could participate, even ‘ignorance’ would be a valid accelerator; but what is the real force which triggered all that anger?
I say “Revenge”! Time for us to “Pay Back”.. Yes.. The true primordial motivator for the worst human instincts at all.. Because all the way throughout the past three or four decades, the serene minority of a prospering political and financial “Élite” flanked by an advantaged “Upper Middle Class” have enjoyed the fruits of the soft living, manifested by private schools for the children, cars, sporting clubs, underpaid domestic manpower (belonging to an envying, aspiring and imitating much lower classes), guaranteed and well paid job offers opposite to the swelling unemployment rates; and both grew richer and more powerful by enhancing a system that allowed ‘corruption’ to become itself the ‘System’. And while taking full advantage of that silky way of life, both classes comfortably residing on top of the social ladder forgot, or chose to neglect the crucial fact: that their ‘acquired privileges’ were:
a)      not the fruit of the real economy based upon “Production Capitalism”, but the mere result of the worst speculation as practiced in the “Financial Capitalism”;
b)      at the expenses of crushing other classes of society (shop-girls, rank & file clerks, artisans, industrial workers, farmers, regular and casual labourers, and other salary slaves) between the steel jaws of poverty and ignorance, forcing them to live in degraded abusive areas deprived from basic human and hygiene standards;
c)      protected by the brutal and barbarous methods of a cruel and selfish sense of security delivered by various institutional organs operating under endless “Emergency Laws” at the verge of illegality, and totally free from any kind of control; in a state where the institutions of control are not only well tamed but kept as well closely leashed.
So that once unjust regulations and security forces have deliberately loosened their awesome grip over the crushed majority, grudge became anger and anger mutated quickly into blind rage producing enough pressure to release the underground energies of revenge. The kind which was kept in a state of lethargy for very long time in different hide-outs: brotherhoods, clans, associations, drugs, religion, envy, daydreaming, sexual obsessions, and all submerged by an infinity of interpretations given to flexible terms like “…social injustice, change by force, an eye for an eye”... Etc.
We denied for too long the existence of these classes, we welcomed their continuous suppression, and refused to acknowledge their grievances.. While calming our conscience by a charity hand-out every now and then, and satisfying our Ego by receiving as authentic the “Thank You Sir” or “may Allah protect you Madam”, refusing to see the hidden grudge beneath the smiles. We paid for these smiles.. Didn’t we? So everything must be alright.. As if a generous tip can wipe out the client’s arrogant lack of human modesty, or the insult delivered by our publicly delivered charity.
If we add on top of the above the well orchestrated blind religious fundamentalism, which infiltrated deep into every angle of the establishment; to the financial muscles of what some define as the counter revolutionary forces, we would certainly find out our answer(s)..
By the way, I did not overlook the principal actor playing in what seem to be more like a “Shakespearean Tragedy” rather than a “Molière Comedy”; the actor I consider an accomplice in that plot designed to demolish whatever is left of Egypt to the Egyptians.. That actor is “The Inexperienced Ruling Cast”.
After all this, I want you to guess who’s gaining the most from our social insecurity? Who’s maneuvering the full scenario?
When the state is weak it becomes vulnerable to hazardous penetrations, a secure home for crime to prevail and for terror to reside.. Being a strong state doesn’t require by force becoming a Dictatorship, because dictatorships end sooner or later.. Strength come from education and participation.. The two wings of a secure and souring “Free Democracy”.
Until we understand that, more crimes will terrorise innocent citizens and deprive them from the very basic of human and constitutional rights: Security.

Article #81.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Castelfiorentino, April 5th 2013.
Last month in Egypt in an attempt to drive away the doubts of its ‘Radical’ allies (at home and abroad), the Muslim Brotherhood government, besides also nominated by a Muslim Brotherhood President, announced its intention to progressively abolish the sale of alcoholic products starting by the suburbs and rural areas around the country, by means of a simple measure: not renewing the liquor sales licences on the national level; further on later in a future phase, to abolish the sales of liquors at the Duty Free Shops and the Duty Free Zones!
On the other hand, in an appalling contrast the naïve government came out with the desperate and most ingenuous solution, in view of its severe cash flow shortage: to increase the taxations over liquors, beer and wine!
Following the same logic, if logic is the case; should we expect more similar measures in the name of “Commanding the Good and Prohibiting the Evil” ?
If so what could be the next move? To abolish swine breeding and sale? Or to deny the swine meat imports? Perhaps the ‘Salafists’ would insist on executing punishments like “Stoning” or “Whipping” for those ‘infidels’ who sell, transport, serve, or consume alcoholic drinks? How about the swine case? Would it face the same destiny? And what about the Christians, the Copts and their needs? And the Gambling Casinos?
Between the twenties and the thirties of last century, the “Prohibition Act” in the USA produced the likes of Al Capone! Unscrupulous men willing to overturn any law for the gain. And of that breed Mubarak’s Egypt have produced thousands.. Men, and women, who for the time being are living in a very low profile just like sleepers waiting for the right opportunity to make a move.
In a country like Egypt the repercussions of such repressive acts, especially in times of open markets and globalised trade, would be disastrous socially and even politically, not to mention economically in view of its direct hit to the heart of an already lame ‘Tourism Industry’.
The worst is already profiling its shadows in the horizon.. Making advantage of the intentional vague wording of Article #81 in the “New Constitution”, accomplice with the absence of any related measures of control or regulations for liabilities, both of which would allow its abusive implementation.. Remember that this article recognises the “…obligation of all Islamic Associations operating over the Egyptian territory to guarantee, alongside the ‘State’, the proper observation of Islamic Ethics and Traditions” !!??!!
Nazi Patrols started that way, and see what came out of it.. Taliban did the same and look to what end it drove the entire region.
The flagrant paradox is that the main sponsors of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Middle East are two opposite extremes: a conservative Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a liberal Principality of Qatar! Both, accidently, are closely tied to the USA!
I wonder  to which of the two would the balance marker point its index.. To the highest bidder?
Egypt.. Look what we’ve done to you.. How sadly pathetic you’ve become.

Free and Brave my A..!

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli, April 4th 2013.
As long as the actual mechanisms of a remodelled globalised “Free Market” remain safely hibernated in the status quo (a status favouring only one scope: the protection of the greedy interests targeted by the  financial institutions operating for the “Free World” and their holdings of thousands of central banks and insurance multinational corporations, together with their affiliated complexities of industrial and commercial lobbies); then ‘Corruption’ will prevail, ‘Poverty’ will gain more territories, ‘Anger’ will dominate reason, and ‘Conflicts’ will reduplicate.. Consequently the cost of basic commodities will keep its speculative swelling, favouring once more the same interests, so that the wheel keep on turning, and turning, and turning.. Etc.
No matter how hard the system’s exploiters keep trying  to escape the inevitable ‘Implosion’ of their invention, which they have structured on purpose upon the foundations of a speculative “Financial Capitalism” disregarding the principal values of “Production Capitalism” (the one that defeated the great depression of the early twentieth century), the “New Deal” type of Capitalism; sooner or later that system will implode.. And it shall be at a very high cost. As a matter of fact, I can affirm that the prelude of that implosion is close.
We’re no longer talking about bearings (north vs. south, or east vs. west) or classes (rich vs. poor).. We’re observing a worldwide ‘Renaissance’ of Justice vs. Injustice, Tolerance vs. Fanaticism, and Legality vs. Illegality. In short we are witnessing the return of the “Political Romanticism” to resume the fierce battle it have lost six centuries ago facing an awesome adversary: the inclement “Industrial Colonial Pragmatic Modernity”.
The pressing Iranian race to build its Nuclear potentials is an aspect of that preamble phase I’m talking about; the eminent threat of the Korean Peninsula explosion is another; even the growing religious radical movements are also in a way a sign of violent protest, and the overwhelming tsunami waves of clandestine desperate immigration from Asia and Africa to Europe is an impressive trait of the implosion process.
All are equally the signs of an eminent confrontation intended to forcefully drive us ALL around the same table to grasp the indisputable fact about a fed-up “Third World”, made of the same eternally Developing Countries; who’ve been kept suffocated under the engineered growing pressure of poverty, ignorance, sickness and need for too long; and who is finally waking up and rising to claim its denied rights, and as well to cash a bill long overdue, out from the volts of a greedy, cruel and unjust “Free World” completely hypnotised by the overbearing hegemony of the “Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave”.
It is already happening.. It’ll only take its course and time.. History taught us that.

Who said Humans are an intelligent specie?

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Montopoli. March 30th 2013.
I intend to present here my case and prove human stupidity. But first I’d like to premise the established fact stating that: “Exception Prove The Rule”. Because, in my opinion, the mere accidental existence of few sleazy crafty beings belonging to the human race is the exception proving the indisputable rule confirming human stupidity.
Here are the facts, the indisputable facts:
Ø  BANGUI, Central African Republic/DAKAR, 29 March 2013 – Following looting and insecurity in the conflict-hit Central African Republic, 2 million children remain without access to basic social services and are exposed to violence. Even more children will be deprived if the situation in the country does not stabilize rapidly. UNICEF calls on all parties to the conflict to immediately stop the looting of humanitarian supplies, to ensure free and secure access of humanitarian actors to those in need, and to ensure that all involved respect humanitarian principles, human rights and the rule of law.. According to the SIPRI Yearbook 2012 the Central African Republic is spending US$. 52,900,000,000.--/yr on arms.
Ø  The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which is protected by 3 known US Airbases, spends the beauty of  10.1% of its GDP amounting to US$. 46,219,000,000.--/yr on armaments.. While the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain with their declared permanent 8 US Air Bases and 2 US Naval Bases; combined altogether are disbursing the sum of US$. 76,133,000,000.--/yr!
Ø  Egypt who signed peace treaties, and promoted the peaceful slogan “No More Wars” spends US$. 3,914,000,000.--/yr on armaments, equivalent to 2.1% of its GDP; however the actual Egyptian Defence Budget is far beyond such a modest figure. Nevertheless it is a daily civil practice participating in endless queues for bread, for fuel, for food, for vote, for house use methane bottles…etc. And we know the truth about Egypt’s social sufferings, not to mention its economic and political pathologies.
When children die because of wars, conflicts, poverty, starvation, corruption, or poor medical care; while such sums of money are freely circulating from one account to another; then I’d rather define this as the most stupid act ever conceived by Human Brain.. You may invite other terms like ignorance, greed, competition.. etc.. And you have every right to do so, but let me tell you that these are just excuses and reasons, or if you’d rather they are ‘symptoms’ demonstrating the chronic disease named ‘stupidity’ which is driving Human Specie to a guaranteed auto-obliteration.
I will not go any further into the tons of figures I have before me to demonstrate the ocean wide gap separating the ‘Haves’ afar from the ‘Have-Nots’.. It is pointless at this stage.. Because by now I assume that most of us (members of the eternal fraternity of the Developing Countries) know for certain that these figures represent a thin margin of the so called “Sovereign Debt” serving our nations as the main dish on the dinner table of the ‘Int’l Monetary Fund’ and its twin brother the ‘Word Bank’ (ironically baptised as the “International Bank For Reconstruction and Development”) both born after WWII to the Bretton Woods Accords as pure American Private Financial Institutes intentioned to serve one master only: “The USA Global Governance”.
The mere fact that no one talks about it, nonetheless do something about it, do support my theory.. We Are Stupid.. And we refuse to admit it. We’ll keep on refining our knowledge of self destruction until we consume our habitat and demolish our environment and when there is nothing left for our survival, we will eat each other.
Albert Einstein once said: “I don’t know how the third world war would end, but I’m certain that the fourth will be fought with stones and sticks”!

Re-Conciliation Urgently Needed.

By: Ahmed ELNAHAS – Venezia, April 2nd 2013.
In 325AD between June 29th and August 25th at 130km from Istanbul, the small town of “NICEA” (today’s Iznik) became famous having become the venue of, and thus giving its name to, the first “COUNCIL” called for by ‘Emperor Constantine’, having as objective to unite the Roman Empire under one ‘Faith’ and to impose a ‘Unified Christian Doctrine’.
The ‘Council’ (followed by many others until the 20th century) assembled together all religious scholars and clerical hierarchies of the time from every corner of the vast Roman Empire, to ‘Conciliate’ the divisions coving inside Christianity to make it become a ‘Universal Doctrine’ (at the time the Empire was considered the universe), and to formulate all necessary actions aiming at the ‘Unification’ by means of the most tight relations among the different streams of ‘thought’.
Ambitious indeed.. However instead it provoked the opposite effect: cracks widened in multiplicities, argumentations heated up, even disputes became centuries-old and frequently turned into bloody wars; all driving Christianity to divide into “5 main streams, creating 56 churches and instituting 172 Orders and Congregations”..
Each with a ‘Doctrinal Corpus’ that from time to time became subject to change, modification, twisting, distortion, and even personalisation (either by the Pope or the Potent of the turn) for own ends or proper use..
Each stubbornly convinced that the others’ interpretations failed and can’t possess the ‘Truth’..
Each preaching that only his teachings present the “One Absolute Indisputable Truth”!
It seems that somewhere along the way, throughout the past 15 centuries, our ‘Islam’ have contracted the same sorts!! (I don’t have the slightest clue to document this thought. So if you can find a reliable source to fill the gap, please let me know).. Otherwise I cannot find any intelligent explanation for our Nation’s stubborn divisions over trivialities (not even over ideas) resulting in that constant haemorrhage of our blood and resources versed in useless and humiliating battles out of which all parties engaged come out more divided, weaker and poorer.
Instead of ‘Re-Conciliating’ our Nation’s common grieves to humbly explore contemporaneous compromises and elaborate innovative solutions leading us towards the most efficient, concrete and practical ways to ‘Unite’; we tend to favour discordance and disagreement which were (and still are) always hypocritically camouflaged in dark veils woven of void solidarity statements, ornamented with meaningless yet dazzling intentions, displayed in expensive frames of words, intended only for domestic populist appeal or foreign PR purposes.
Perhaps their only function was/is to rally the masses and fill some central squares in order to occupy some airing time on low ratings TV/Radio programmes or talk shows, guaranteeing a job and a salary for the cast, and providing the 15 minutes glory for the aspiring new entries in political, social, intellectual and religious ‘Circles’..
It seems that the term ‘Circuses’ would be much more appropriate regarding the situation..
Don’t you think?
The intentional absence of a “Re-Conciliatory Vision” have produced one sure result: the Nation have sunk in the dark abyss of oblivion..
