Chose What You Eat.

In their book published earlier this 2012 by Sperling & Kupfer entitled: “Chose What You Eat”, literally “Scegli ciò che mangi”; the authors detailed their precious findings fluidly in a simple account of valuable advises to everyone and supported by documented research statistics. To sum up their message it’s quite enough translating the following lines by which they ended their book.

At the end of this long course, it seems useful to resume certain concepts; those you can bring home. You may also, should you find it fit, cut these pages to consult in times of need.

For Shopping.

1. Eat True Food:

a)      Don’t eat what your grand-mother wouldn’t recognize as food.

b)      Eat food that can rot.

c)      Eat integral food or items as they grow in nature.

d)      Eat what stands on one foot (mushrooms and vegetables) who are better than those standing on two feet (poultry and volatile) who in their turn are better that those standing on four feet (swine, cattle…ecc).

e)      Eat lot of vegetables.

f)       Eat at colours.

g)      Eat only what grew on good terrains.

h)      Eat animals that were well fed.

i)        Eat as an Omnivorous.

j)        Eat natural savage food whenever possible.

k)      Eat small wild fish not breed(small in size not new hatchings).

l)        Eat sweet food as you find in nature (pure honey and fruits).

2. Avoid:

a)      Food products containing ingredients that no human being would keep in the pantry.

b)      Food stuff with ingredients that a 3^rd grade child can’t pronounce.

c)      Food products where it’s written on their label “Good For Health”.

d)      Food Products bearing expressions like: “Light”, “Low Fat” or “No Fat” and “No Sugar”.

e)      Food products publicized on TV.

f)       Food products with high values of fructose, corn syrup or sugar.

g)      Any food where whatever type of sugar or sweetener is found listed within the first 3 ingredients.

h)      Food products containing many ingredients.

3. Otherwise:

a)      Pay more and eat less.

b)      Chose fresh products of the season.

c)      Reuse the vegetables cooking water.

d)      Dose yourself sugar and salt in your food.

e)      Prefer certified local seasonal food.

f)       Always read first the specifications detailed on the label.

g)      Make Biological Food your preference.

h)      Reach for the hidden items on the shelves not only the one in sight.

i)        Don’t buy impulsively.

j)        Make your shopping list.

k)      Eat at table, calmly, not on the street, before the TV or the PC, or among the supermarket stands.

l)        Enter the supermarket with full stomach and get out when you can.

Preventing Pathologies

The WCRF 10 golden recommendations for Tumors Prevention. Also useful to prevent more other pathologies.

The World Cancer Research Foundation, which mission is to promote primary prevention from tumors through scientific research and through spreading the knowledge of their causes; have concluded its surveying all the scientific studies of the relation between Nutrition and Tumors.

The volume containing the outcome of that work is available at www.dietandcancerreport.org and is very prudent in its conclusions that are synthesized here below:

1.      Maintain a slim figure all your life.

2.      Be physically active every day.

3.      Limit your consumption of high caloric density and avoid drinks containing sugar.

4.      Structure your nutritive system mainly upon food deriving from vegetables, with cereals not refined industrially along with legume in every meal and non-starched greengrocers with lots of seasonal fruits.

5.      Limit the use of red meat, and avoid eating conserved or caned meat products.

6.      Limit the use of alcoholic drinks.

7.      Limit your salt consumption to not more than 5gm/day, or food products conserved under salt. Avoid food contaminated by mould.

8.      Ensure a sufficient contribution of all essential nutrients through food alone, hence the importance of the variety; and avoid the assumption of pharmaceutical food supplements (vitamins or minerals).

9.      Breast-feed the children always whenever possible at least for the first six months. This doesn’t only prevent breast cancer but also ensure optimal nutrition for the child enforcing his immunity.

10.  The WCRF recommendations are also valid not only to prevent tumors but as well to those already manifesting the symptoms.

And it goes without saying: DON’T SMOKE!

A Bully’s Tact!

In Egypt we say: “Whip the tied to frighten the unleashed”.. The Americans translated it into “Shock and Aw” and have actually practiced it while invading Iraq. Now the second largely voted movement in Egypt, the Salafist oriented “Annour” party, is promoting the same.

I believe that this is precisely what is going on in the Egyptian cultural arena these days, and which constitutes the prelude to a devastating social seismic event that can, and will, provoke more divisions, more hatred, more superficiality, more indifference and more ignorance.

I am talking about the stormy debate manifested upon the news and all over the media focussed over Adel Emam as part of a larger campaign aiming to hand over the entire heritage of Egypt’s Literature, Film Industry, along with TV and theater productions, to the sharp scissors of a self proclaimed “Board Of Censors”, carefully disguised behind a false religious veil to convince and recruit simple people to stand happily together for a group picture next to the brand new attraction of a guaranteed collective culture ruins.

The intentions of the “Salafists” to forbid certain concepts from being freely expressed ‘in public’, is an irremediable regression and a prelude to more sever impositions to close all the windows before every free thought; an unpleasant situation that will bring us way back into primitive obscurity.

The Salafist movement is actually applying step by step the classic “Authoritarian Control Manual”:

Ø  to establish large consensus among the population through demagogic and ideological (religious) exaggerated rhetoric,

Ø  then chose some well known prominent figures to publicly accuse of high treason to the cause (blasphemy), and

Ø  mobilise the mass of followers for the public ‘Lynching’.

As such, the result will be either a overwhelming general sense of intimidation or an irrevocable fragmentation of the population that may lead to continuous confrontations and maybe even armed conflicts destabilising the nation and nourishing tribal, ethnic and sectarian versatilities and permanent vindictive grievances.

To set the example and to intimidate the entire intellectual class, in order to freeze the evolution of any free expression as one of the main pillars of Democracy; Adel Emam was the perfect choice for several reasons:

a)      He has acquired over the years the largest popular consensus and ‘fan’atic adoration.

b)      He treated, in his plays and films, a range of social phenomena like religious fundamentalism, corruption, terrorism, poverty, ignorance, homosexuality…etc.

c)      He was very cautious and even reluctant in supporting the new revolutionary wave.

I see this as a siren of alarm signaled by a revolution’s ship adrift in open stormy ocean, due to anomalies in its engines and deaf and blind since deprived from any navigation systems like sonar or radar; as such it is destined to hit the reef of tyranny and submerge into endless folds of darkness in the abyss of ignorance. And if we refuse to see this and consider it as a probable eventuality, then we shall deserve what we will have.

It is sad to realise that while the entire world is seriously engaged in finding solutions for vital issues like “Water, Energy, Peace and Development”, we are being dragged down towards international isolation through primitive tribal conflicts that will definitely bring the country to the verge of an open “Head to Head” clash between the ‘Military Institution’ and the ‘Salafist Mass’.. Of course each will seek support from its closest “Friends”!!

And where all that will leave Egypt??

Remember that while The Military Dictatorship, that gave birth to the likes of Mubarak, hated the “TRUTH”; the coming  “Ideological Dictatorship” will eradicate it.

Is there someone seen on the horizon capable of rescuing an agonising revolution, and willing to embrace moderation to guide the nation into the democratic republic of transparency, human rights and social justice? A society that can remedy its aches on its own setting itself free from Corruption of hands and minds.

Losing.

When he addressed the US congress last spring, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu clearly underlined Israel's parameters, or should I say conditions, to resume peace talks; in the following headlines:

·         Palestinian Authority president is to publicly recognises the Jewish state.

·         Jerusalem would never again be divided.

·         A return to Israel's 1967 borders would be untenable.

·         Negotiated new boundaries should incorporate settlements in the West Bank.

·         The problem of Palestinian refugees should be resolved beyond Israel's borders.

·         There could be no talks until Palestine Authority abandoned Hamas.

From our perspective this cannot be considered an offer for commencing constructive negotiations aiming to establish that “Lasting and Just Peace” everyone have been chewing for decades yet nobody has done a bit of a thing to make it happen, while body count continue to rise every morning in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere. On the other part it also cannot be considered a “declaration of War” as unwisely Mr. Nabil Shaath hastily declared while commenting on Netanyahu’s statement. Mr Shaath for some mysterious reason always misses every chance to remain silent. In fact I could define these ‘conditions’ as the intentional political use of exaggerated rhetoric as a sure way to avoid peace and buy the time needed to acquire new gains and establish new realities on the ground.

I believe that the moment the international community, represented in the United Nations, have declared the Jewish Occupation to the Palestinian lands legitimate and as such proclaimed it “an independent sovereign state worthy of the Organisation’s full membership status”; that moment marked the destiny of Palestine and the entire Arab Nation.

It is no secret that the American full political, economical and military support for the Jewish Occupation is the inevitable result of a long series of events and circumstances that we, the Arabs, didn’t foresee or understand; while the “World Zionist Organisation” have been meticulously orchestrating the well trained Jewish Communities from every country around the globe, in harmony with their powerful Lobbies in Europe and in the US, and along with their wealthy and strongly connected “International Financial Institutions” to do whatever is required to establish a sympathising and favourable worldwide consensus allowing it to continue bullying over the entire world sponsored by an extorted protector, the United States, which seem unable to do anything other than to indulge and comply convinced that Israel’s adventurous whims are favouring its goal: “Building and Protecting the American Global Empire”, forgetting that the Jewish highest aim is to establish its “One World Government”!  

However I cannot dissolve us from the responsibility for allowing this to happen.. We are to blame.. Because we, though being in the twentieth century kept handling a complex cold political situation through a medieval tribal emotional reasoning; not realising the quick and immense changes in politics and economy from the time of the last crusade to the closing years of the nineteenth century and through WWI onwards till now.

That’s why we were always caught unprepared in front of each and every political ambush set in our way, from the “1919 Paris Peace Conference” until this very morning when Israeli bombers raided over Palestinian civilians killing as much as it can, while the world is occupied to solve an unsolvable global recession. A financial scam designed and executed in utmost precision to make the poor poorer and the rich even more richer.

Remember the “Great Financial Crack”*, known as the Great Recession, during the twenties of last centuries? Regardless of the millions of human lives sacrificed worldwide as its immediate consequence, it was devised on purpose to:

Ø  Consolidate the power of the major international financial institutions** granting them the occasion to buy out smaller banking establishments and acquire more grip on global economy,

Ø  force the United States to shift its strategic doctrine towards “War Economy”*** by assisting Europe in its coming WWI thus making these institutions ten times richer since they will finance every war effort, and

Ø  oblige the American Administration to surrender under their pressure to allow them re-establishing the “Federal Reserve”****.

* Early in 1907, Jacob Schiff, the Rothschild-owned boss of Kuhn, Loeb and Co., in a speech to the New York Chamber of Commerce, warned that "unless we have a Central Bank with adequate control of credit resources, this country is going to undergo the most severe and far reaching money panic in its history."

**J.P. Morgan; Kuhn, Loeb and Co.; Bank of California; and all the Rothschild Banking group in England, France, Austria, Netherland, Italy, Germany and Russia. (No wonder they all are Jewish ownerships!).

***In order to achieve their goal of world domination, the international bankers have to instigate a series of world wars which would result in leveling of the old world in preparation for the construction of the New World Order. This plan was outlined in graphic detail by Albert Pike, the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the top Illuminist in America. In a letter to Guisseppe Mazzini dated August 15, 1871. Pike stated that:

·         The first world war was to be fomented in order to destroy Czarist Russia -- and to place that vast land under the direct control of Illuminati agents. Russia was then to be used as a 'bogey man' to further the aims of the Illuminati worldwide.

·         World War II was to be fomented through manipulation of the differences that existed between the German Nationalists and the Political Zionists. This was to result in an expansion of Russian influence and the establishment of a state of Israel in Palestine.

·         The Third World War was planned to result form the differences stirred up by Illuminati agents between the Zionists and the Arabs. The conflict was planned to spread worldwide.

**** At the turn of the 20th century the Rothschilds, not satisfied with the progress being made by their American operations, sent one of their top experts, Paul Moritz Warburg, over to New York to take direct charge of their assault upon the only true champion of individual liberty and prosperity -- the United States.  Shortly after the United States had plunged into the aforementioned monetary crisis that had all the earmarks of a skilfully planned Rothschild 'job.'.. Paul Warburg told the Banking and Currency Committee: "In the Panic of 1907, the first suggestion I made was, 'let us have a national clearing house' [Central Bank]. The Aldrich Plan [for a Central Bank] contains many things that are simply fundamental rules of banking. Your aim must be the same....". Digging deep into their bag of deceitful practices, the international bankers pulled off their greatest coup to date -- the creation of the privately owned Federal Reserve System, which placed control of the finances of the United States securely in the hands of the power-crazed money monopolists. Paul Warburg became the 'Fed's' first chairman! Congressman Charles Lindbergh put his finger firmly on the truth when he stated, just after the 'Federal' Reserve Act was passed by a depleted Congress on December 23, 1913: "The Act establishes the most gigantic trust on earth. When the President [Wilson] signs this Bill, the invisible government of the monetary power will be legalized....The greatest crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and currency bill."

That’s how they have dedicated all their resources to achieve a goal they have set and agreed on working and planning restlessly to fulfil it. And that’s how we were kept hostages enchained by ignorant powerful rulers having the full support of a loyal accomplice: The  Religious Institution with its strong hold over our simple conscience, which kept preaching the benefits of cohering to the will of the “Order Keeper” literally ‘Walei’Al Amr’; even if such will contradicts logic or betrays the fundaments of belief itself.. And that we can only resist his tyranny only by “Praying”!! Never by defying force. 

That’s how we already lost “Beit Al Maqdes”.. Maybe you have noticed that, as a matter of fact, Jerusalem has become the Capital of the Jewish Being.. Tel Aviv is now marketed as the Middle East Las Vegas!     

That’s how we lost “Al Quods”.. We don’t control it, the Israeli police do!

That’s how we are losing “Palestine” one yard after the other every dawn and every sunset!

And that’s how we are losing even our identity, having accepted to collude with the enemy to subdue every effort for resistance in Gaza, Lebanon or in Iran; not realising that by doing so we are simply granting a wild beast the free lands and open spaces upon which it can happily gallop bitching by without the slightest concern about what it is destroying in the way.

For over a century now historical documented facts have proved that while ‘they’ are seriously engaged every day in refining their political skills, their scientific abilities and their economic strength; we were totally devoted to mastering the art of losing chances one after the other, by being consumed in continuous conflicts over primitive trivialities that will do none other than weakening our forces, exhausting our economies and separating us further apart from each other.. And that “Strong United Arab Nation” will remain just a “Mid-Summer Night Dream”..

A dream that, the moment it tickles my thoughts, brings a tired shy smile to caress my lips before I’d return back to an ongoing absurd everyday reality: trying to find a foot hold in the next bus home crushed among tens of other similar tired dreamers, united in our humiliating submissive acceptance to sip every drop of an endless bitter blend made from the sour flavours of losing, brewed together with those of deception, served over an American silver tray in a glowing gold and diamonds chalice made in Israel!!

But the funny and almost satirical paradox of that situation is that WE are paying for that drink!

It has been said that there are three types of people:

1.      Those who make things happen,

2.      Those who watch things happen, and

3.      Those who wonder what happened.

Crisis X 3 = zt!!

The Military Institution: has mutated over the years into a gigantic business enterprise owning a domineering private industrial complex. An institution that holds on tight to its ‘Political Powers’ with all its might, as if they were the indisputable or incontestable “Divine Rights” that the ‘commons’ do not dare to oppose or even debate the nature or the origin. A military that openly has abdicated its main constitutional tasks to be “..strong arm and protective shield always ready to defend the nation against all enemies”.. Israel on top I should say!!

The Executive Authority: over long years of complete submission to an asphyxiating “Dictatorship Rule”, have been tamed, trained and educated to obey and never take autonomous initiatives or decisions; just wait for instructions, directives or suggestions; all of which are simply “Obliging Orders” as per the “Universal Dictator’s Manual Lexicon”.  

The Legislative Authority: also known as the “Parliament”.. Being only an image designed to galvanise the international presidential public relations campaigns through well choreographed theatrical media coverage. And as it has always been partly nominated and partly elected through fake and fixed elections, where even the dead is compelled to vote; under the supervision of a helpless juridical cast totally deprived from any true controlling liability since hundreds of tailor-made laws have even vacuum cleaned the “Constitution” out of its role through a haze of 250 vague articles.. A Parliament as such will never stand to draw a bill of law, or vote for anything, against the will of its “Employer”.. Who is definitely not the people.

The Press: supposedly being the fourth authority, has never did what it should have done: to inform truthfully and educate impartially..  Over the years we witnessed hundreds of mercenaries, dispatched for journalists, poets, analysts and trusted consultants; echoing the whims of the Master as the only way or the absolute cure for any grievance; making their mission to educate the people for obedience and submission. Instead of spreading true information and projecting transparency, that ill press preached lies and empowered corruption.. All at a price!   

The Religious Institution: as always, throughout our history, remained standing aside cheering for the strongest, converting the illegal into a doctrinal necessity and conspiring with the various ‘Palaces’ of power to convert “Ignorance” into a banner under which the people would move and a doctrine by which they live.

The Social Parts: Political Parties, Labour Unions, Syndicates, Artisans, Farmers, Students Movements, NGOs, Bloggers and Human Rights Activists; have long subdued to oppression and torture; and were always subject to the lowest levels of manipulation that made them helpless and void of the needed pressing edge over the decision making circles.. Unless they unite together to form an invincible lobby that can mobilise the ‘Mass’ and guide the “Collective Opinion” wherever it wishes, change will not be foreseeable.

All those have been cultivated and educated by the Tyrannical Iron Fist of a Dictatorial Presidential Institution born out from the womb of the Military Institution; which trimmed and abbreviated the infinity of ideas that can form a healthy “Collective Conscience” into just one, its own; and that is “Obedience, Loyalty, Stability and Order”.  Making sure that all the above mentioned institutions and authorities would constantly adhere and repeat the daily preaching of the clamorous falsity that “Stability, not change, is the only way to ensure security and growth”.

Of course the security of an Élite cast, loyal daughter of that “System”, and the  growth of its private wealth and fortunes. And since the system normally engages in its services the loyal parasites and profiteers; who in their turn will do the same in order to secure their future and that of their families; hence “Corruption” becomes the main pillar around which revolves the entire economic and social mechanisms.. Corruption becomes the “System” itself.. And say goodbye to welfare and progress right after the fleeing of transparency, solidarity and freedom.

All the way through the Egyptian Republic’s history, from day one since the ‘first’ military coup of 1952; we saw that pattern repeating itself as if to refine and sharpen its edges: from the shy and carefully disguised side business in arms dealing of the late ‘Son In Law of Nasser’, to the murmured drug trade monopoly of the ‘Brother of Sadat’, and until the blunt and  open-faced overpowering economic, industrial and financial control of the ‘Sons of Mubarak’.

A pattern which have produced entire armies of ministers, consultants, lawyers, business advisers, followers, supporters, servile courtesans, lobbyers, buffoons, business meddlers and hired pens; all tuned together in cheering the unrivaled “Wisdom of the Father of the nation”, to veil their true nature of coward hypocrite parasites selling the blood of their own people for the misery of “30 pieces of silver”. Thus allowing that “Father” to grow into a divinity, having taken all the necessary precautionary measures to keep things as they are for their own “Security and Growth”, and those of their families, courtesans and servants.

Such process eventually creates a giant mountain of “Immorality” and “Indifference”, leading to an inevitable overflow of “Individualism”; and the civil sense of responsible and active participation fades away till its complete disappearance, especially that the Religious Institution kept educating for long time the mass on the ‘benefits’ of obedience, acceptance, satisfaction, modesty and submission; and by constantly dispensing such teachings, all the time and everywhere, it has systematically killed the spark of the individual ambition and crushed his hunger for knowledge and evolution. Then once the society become convinced that “Enough is as good as a feast”; everything turns out the way the ruling Élite desires and no one would dare question their ill governance or the suspicious origins of their wealth and fortunes.

That is in brief the absurd dark scenery that is somehow still imprisoning inside its dense obscurity the vast majority of our society. A scenery that has regressed our culture back into a much more darker age than the first “Jaheleyah” of more than fourteen centuries ago, despite the improvised blows of a controversial new Spring Storm called “Revolution”. A revolution that, I dare say, have been cunningly used to camouflage our history’s Second Military Coup!!

Now, putting together the current “Global Economic Crisis” to what I’ve just highlighted, we will remain with the inevitable result of ‘3’!?! Meaning not one crisis, but a perfect bouquet of 3: Economic, Social and Political. As if it was a marketing promotion of “Buy 1 and get 3”, that who knows what could be the true identity of its sponsors.

The outcome of such complex crisis will not only be recession and more debts with more interests, but it would also be something like the equation in the title of this article: “Pure Undefined Nonsense”.

However the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen through the demolition of the very foundations of that system, by always remembering and acting according to the fact that it took a “Hijrah” to overtake and defeat a “Jaheleyah”.
